Public access dates for 2020 are June - Sept, Thursday to Sunday, 12 - 4pm (plus Heritage week 15th - 23rd August).
With the help of a castle guide you can walk the corridors of time. Follow the history of Ireland and Claregalway Castle from Norman times through to its current restoration.

The steep spiral stairs are worth the effort for views over the Galway countryside and the River Clare slipping past the castle walls. Marvel at the woodwork of the great hall roof and the stonework that has stood against time, wars, floods and strife for nearly 600 years.
The castle can be visited with a guide from Thursday-Sunday, 12-4 pm, June-September
Prices € 6 pp; €4 per child, student, concession.
